Mum Economy is a free community connecting mums who want flexible work, families who need help, and small businesses that need skilled support.
It is built on a simple idea: availability doesn't change capability.
Mothers have skills, experience and a desire to contribute, but work is still often packaged into rigid hours that do not fit easily around caring responsibilities. Mum Economy creates another way to participate, whether that means a few hours during the school day, selected days each week, evenings, or simply when life allows.
But Mum Economy is about more than work.
It is about making the skills, time and capacity already within our communities more visible, while making it easier for families and businesses to ask for the help they need.
That might mean a mum using professional experience for a few hours of admin each week, helping a local business pack orders, taking on a practical household task, or earning from a skill that does not fit neatly inside a traditional job description.
Through The Village, families can also connect around shared resources, practical help and local community support.
Mum Economy is not an agency. It is a simple way for people with work or help to offer to connect with mums who have the capacity to do it.
