House Rules
1. Be kind and respectful
Speak to people the way you would in a local community group. No rude messages, pressure, shaming, bullying, discrimination or aggressive behaviour.
2. Pay fairly
Mum Economy is built on valuing people's time and skills. Please don't ask people to work for exposure, favours or unfairly low rates.
3. Be clear about the job
If you are posting a task, explain what you need, where it is, when you need it, and what you are hoping to pay. Clear requests make it easier for the right person to help.
4. Be honest about your skills
Only offer help you can reasonably and safely provide. If a task requires experience, insurance, specific qualifications or a licence, be upfront about whether you have them.
5. Parents and guardians remain responsible for children
If children are present while another task is being completed in the home, responsibility for the children must remain with the parent or guardian at all times.
6. Keep it safe
Do not post or accept tasks that feel unsafe, inappropriate, illegal, misleading or outside your ability. Either person can say no or step away if something does not feel right.
7. Make your own checks
Mum Economy is currently a free community connector. We do not formally screen every person, provide insurance or guarantee services. You are responsible for checking experience, references, insurance, police checks, Blue Cards or qualifications where relevant.
8. Agree on the details before work starts
Before a task begins, agree directly on the scope of work, timing, location, payment, cancellation expectations and anything else important.
9. Respect homes, businesses and privacy
Treat people's homes, pets, belongings, documents and information with care. Do not share private information, photos, addresses or business details without permission.
10. Communicate early if plans change
Life happens, especially in families. If you need to cancel, reschedule or change the task, communicate as early and respectfully as possible.
11. No spam or dodgy promotions
Mum Economy is not for MLMs, passive-income schemes, aggressive sales funnels, misleading business opportunities or anything that feels predatory toward mums.
12. No inappropriate, adult, illegal or high-risk requests
We do not allow requests involving adult services, illegal activity, unsafe manual labour, regulated work without proper qualifications, medical care, personal care, or anything that places someone in an unreasonable or unsafe situation.
13. We can remove anything that does not fit
Mum Economy may decline, remove or choose not to share any request, listing, offer or member that does not align with the spirit of this community.
